Classes and Instruction
Whether you are an expert or you're just starting out,
Crafty Neighbor has a wide variety of scrapbooking classes to fit your
needs. If you have not scrapbooked before, we recommend you take
our Beginner Basics course first. For a list of supplies to bring to class,
see the description for each class plus our Basic Class Kit list near
the bottom of this page.
New class schedules
for 2011!
This workshop covers archival preservation
of memorabilia, photos, and documents, common tools and supplies,
as well as beginning scrapbooking and creative presentation techniques.
In this class, you will complete 1-2 layouts to get you started.
We'll also show you some simple steps to keeping all your stuff
organized. All supplies for this class will be provided, but you
are encouraged to bring any tools and supplies you already have
so we can get you started.

Basics |
| Expand your skill base with this introduction to basic stamping techniques. We will use mounted and unmounted rubber and acrylic stamps to explore the differences and uses for dye, solvent, and pigment inks. Use the skills you’ve learned to make a pretty card. Please bring your basic class kit (see below see below). |

Embossing
Basics |
| Learn about three different kinds of embossing: heat, dry, and paste while making 5 tags for your technique ring. Use the skills you learned to make a card.

elegant organizer that fits handily in your purse or glove box.
Made from a DVD-style box, it features a notepad, pen, and a pocket
for your coupons and receipts. This project is so awesome that all

Perpetual Calendar |
| This perpetual calendar is so cute that a photograph just doesn't do it justice! Use a cookie sheet, trinkets, and "found" items to make a 31-day perpetual calendar for yourself or to give as a gift. Customize your calendar to match any decor in any theme or any color scheme you can imagine. We will supply the cookie sheet, patterned paper, card stock, and a wide assortment of number you can use to build 31 "dates" plus one holiday. Due to the length of this class, lunch is included.
Supplies you will need: adhesive, scissors, paper trimmer. Optional: any brads, ribbons, buttons, paper, flowers, stickles, trinkets, old jewelry, themed items or embellishments you might want to use to personalize your calendar. |

Color-Blocking
Basics |
| Learn the “color blocking” technique while completing a 2-page layout in this beginner-intermediate class. Our theme this month is back to school, so we will provide cute school-themed embellishments for your page, or you may bring your own to make any other theme you like. The cost is just $15 and covers all supplies. You will need to bring your photos as well as a basic class kit (see below). |
