Think Pink Crop for the Cure

Crop to save lives

Crafty Neighbor is going pink!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who has helped make our annual Think Pink and Pam's Pals Benefit Crops such a SMASHING SUCCESS!  Together, we have raised thousands of dollars to help fight breast cancer and it doesn't stop there! We've had fun and it's such an important cause that we want to do it again and again and again!

How did it start?

Pam's Pals started as a group of friends getting together to help our good friend and fellow scrapbooker, Pam Wilemon.  Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.  Shortly after that, a group of her friends got together in Conroe, Texas to raise money to help pay some of her medical bills.  Crafty Neighbor wanted to help, too, so we organized our first ever Pam's Pals Benefit Crop.  The event was a huge success and helped to raise several thousand dollars to help pay Pam's medical bills.  We repeated the event again in 2009.

Pam is doing much better now, but the cause is so important to us that we dediced to do it every year, donating the proceeds to a charity that is very close to our heart -- the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  In 2011 and 2012, we teamed up to walk in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day. We walked 60 miles over the course of 3 days to help put an end to breast cancer forever. Then, starting in 2013, we renamed our annual Pam's Pals event to be called the Think Pink Crop for the Cure

What's Next?

We are passionate about PINK! In 2016, the founder of Crafty Neighbor was also diagnosed with breast cancer, so we will not give up until we just can't fight any more. Although we don't walk every year, we will continue to be involved with the Susan G. Komen 3-Day every year, either as walkers, crew, volunteers, or support for other teams. We will also continue to host our Think Pink for the Cure events so long as participants keep coming to them and we have enough volunteers to make it happen. As always, the proceeds from any future events will help support our 3-Day walk teams and Race for the Cure participants.  If you would like more information about our walk teams or Think Pink Crop for the Cure, please send us an email at:
